Laurie Crochunis Obituary

Lauri Kay Crochunis (Rider) of East Greenville lost her long, but courageous battle with breast cancer on September 23, 2015 at age 54. Lauri was born on February 8, 1961 in Mechanicsburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jane A. Brownawell (Gingrich), Lester W. Rider (father), her stepfather, John O. Brownawell, and her brother Larry W. Rider. She is survived by her companion Norman (Randy) Pease; five sisters, Vicki Brannen, Becki Kraft (Mike), Carolyn Boose (Mark), Debra Cummings, and Linda Brownawell-Sayer (Phillip); two brothers, Terry Rider (Bernadine) and John Brownawell (Lisa). Lauri is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and even a few great-great nieces and nephews. Lauri had many talents and was an artist in her own right. She developed her own Buffalo Boneware Pottery, enjoyed horticulture, jewelry making, as well as using many other medias in her arts. She had a great respect and stewardship toward the Earth and nature. In keeping with her love of the Earth, Lauri was laid to rest in Bethlehem, PA at Green Meadow at Fountain Hill Cemetery, a natural burial ground on September 25, 2015 with family and friends in attendance.
