Hannah Gehring Williams, 69, of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015, in the Spring Creek Care Center, Harrisburg, with her devoted husband by her side. Born in Pähl, Germany, on September 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Jakob and Mary Marz Gehring. Hannah had worked as a beautician; was employed at the former Polyclinic Hospital in Emergency Room Registration, and also at Capital Blue Cross as a receptionist in the Customer Service Department. She was a 1964 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, before continuing her education at Empire Beauty School. Hannah’s life was centered in her devotion to her family and home. Hannah is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Paul R. “Dick” Williams, whom she married on May 13, 1967; two sisters, Freda Fontaine wife of Paul of Oakfield, ME, and Anna Marzluft of Hummelstown; one brother, Herman Gehring husband of Berdine of Lenior, NC; her granddaughter, Laura A. Williams of Hershey; and her two step grandchildren, Felicia M. Leidigh and Brandon A. Leidigh both of Hershey. In addition to her parents, Hannah was preceded in death by her son, Chad R. Williams on September 7, 2010. A celebration of Hannah’s life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11 AM at the VFW Post 3502, 863 East Chocolate Avenue, Hershey. A time of sharing will follow the service. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.
