Jed Arnold

Jed E. Arnold, 61, of Augusta, WV, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center. Mr. Arnold was born September 10, 1954 in Washington, DC, the son of Robert Daniel Arnold and Mary Margaret Arnold. He was employed by the Shockey Companies of Winchester for 38 years. He graduated from Largo Senior High School. He was a member of the F.F.A. and an alter server of the Catholic Church. He grew op farming in Upper Marlboro, MD. He also operated Arnold’s Highlander Farm in Augusta, WV for 14 years. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and telling tales. He married Joan Marie Yancey on January 25, 1975 in Prince George’s County, MD. He is survived by his wife, Joan Marie Arnold, his children, Jason Edward Arnold and Jared Michael Arnold; brothers, Robert Daniel Arnold, III, Kenneth Michael Arnold and wife, Shelva Jean Arnold; sisters, Sharon June Gluch and husband Gerald, Beverly Joy Cosby and husband Dave; one grandchild, Zoey Jade Arnold and seventeen nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 6-8PM at Jones Funeral Home, Winchester, VA. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 1PM at Jones Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
