Jane Dorothy Wood

Fort Edward Jane Wood, 88, of Seminary Street, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at her home. Born on September 7, 1927 in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of Savino and Antionette (LaSarso) Dangelico Sr. Jane was a graduate of Fort Edward High School and a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Fort Edward. She had worked for Glens Falls Insurance Co. prior to the birth of her first child. She enjoyed her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Besides her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband, Walter A. Wood as well as numerous brothers and sisters, Lucy Mammone, Mary Bresette, Amelia Sgorrano , Vito, Angelo, Guy, and Savino “Sonny” Dangelico. Left to cherish her memory include her children, Donna Miller and her spouse Alan of Bangor, ME and Edward Wood and his spouse Peter Lease of New York City; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Miller, Jaret Miller both of Bangor ME and Ryan Miller and spouse Meghan of San Fancisco, CA, her sisters, Laura Smith and Dorothy Sottile; her sisters-in-law, Tanis Dangelico of Fort Edward, Donna Dangelico of Queensbury and Sandy Wood of Hudson Falls; her brother-in-law, David Wood and his spouse Judy of Hudson Falls, and many nieces, nephews and cousins and a special cousin, Frankie LaSarso. At Jane’s request there will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be conducted 3:00pm on Tuesday, September 22 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fort Edward. Donations may be made in Jane’s memory to Alzheimer’s Assoc. Northeastern New York Chapter, Pine West Plaza, Building 4, Suite 405, Washington Ave. Extension, Albany, NY 12205.
