Aubrey M. Shiley, 96, of Winchester, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at a local nursing home. Mr. Shiley was born April 18, 1919 in Frederick County; the son of Robert Henry Shiley and Martha Mumaw Shiley. He retired in 1982 as a farmer and orchardist with Stewart Bell, Jr. and Robert Solenberger. He was a member of Refuge United Methodist Church. He married Mary Alice Pitcock on December 25, 1940 in Winchester. Mrs. Shiley preceded him in death on December 17, 2007. He is survived by his children, Marshall Lee Shiley and wife Pam of Winchester, Virginia S. “Ginny” Miller and husband Robert “Bobby” of Stephens City and Tina Shiley Renner of Charles Town, WV; three grandchildren, Robert Lee Shiley and wife Tracey, Jamie Lee Pangle and wife Betsy, Marshall L. Shiley, Jr. and wife Michelle; and six great grandchildren, Hunter Strosnider, Jordan Shiley, Tanner Shiley, Isabella Shiley, Elijah Shiley and Autumn Zopp. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Refuge United Methodist Church with Rev. John Lock officiating. Burial will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
