Ovie Abrams Obituary

Ovie Abrams age 86 of Carrollton, formerly of Salem, Indiana, passed away Friday September 11, 2015 in Louisville. Ovie was born in Jackson County, Kentucky to the late Marion Robert and Lona Young Abrams. He owned a greenhouse construction company and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a devoted fan of University of Kentucky basketball and an avid fan of Cincinnati Reds baseball. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one daughter Anita Hammond, and four brothers Albert, Nelson, Glenn and Russell Abrams. He is survived by his children Jenni Abrams of Lexington, Sandi (Steve) Meadows of Carrollton, Tim (Darla) Abrams of Wayne City, IL, and Keith Abrams of Carrollton, two brothers Ray Abrams, Donnie Abrams, two sisters Alma Simpson and Wilma Hobson, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10am Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Lakes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jackson County. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to the funeral home.
