Mildred Gibbs Bradford Ratcliffe of Pine Hill, Alabama died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. D. A. Gibbs; was born January 31, 1936 near Grove Hill where she grew up and graduated with honors from Clarke County High School in 1954. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Bill S. Bradford and James Clayton Ratcliffe. She is also preceded by three brothers, Jesse, Billy, and Cecil Gibbs, two sisters, Mae Beth Andrews and Laura Brock. She is survived by her son, William Stanley (Pam) Bradford, her daughter, Alice Bradford (John) Shirah, three granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Shirah, Grace Catherine Shirah, and Caroline Kelly Bradford all of Pine Hill, Alabama. She is also survived by three sisters, Jean Reeves (Bobby), Faye Bumpers (Robert), and Patricia Haskew (T.L.), sisters-in-law, Pat Gibbs, Alma Gibbs, and Ella Agnes Bradford. She had three stepchildren, Jimmy Ratcliffe, Jean Creswell (John), and Susan Williams (Jimmy), eight step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. She was a business partner with her son, Stan Bradford, in the operation of their store, Bradford Auto Parts in Pine Hill. She was active in civic affairs and had sponsored a Community July 4th Parade since 2000. She was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for 26 years. She loved arranging flowers, cooking Sunday family dinners and often said she had enjoyed a great life. She will be missed by many friends and a devoted family. Visitation will be held at Pine Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm service time with Rev. Chris Kynard officiating.
