Friendship- Patricia W. Simmons, 85, Passed away Sunday, September 6th, 2015 in Damariscotta after a long illness with her family by her side. Pat was born in Thomaston, ME on July 22, 1930 to parents Herbert A. and Ella (Patterson)Wellman. She graduated from Rockland High School in the class of 1947. In November 1955 she married the love of her life Kenneth A. Simmons enjoying 60 years of marriage. Pat enjoyed being a housewife and mother. Pat was pre-deceased by her parents, her sisters Doris Conary,Flora Carroll, Beverly Ifemy and Betty Lou Little. Left to cherish her memories is her husband Kenneth of Friendship, Me. Her daughter Jennifer A. Simmons of Friendship, Me, A brother Herbert Wellman of Butler, PA as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. The family request that donations in her name be made to the United Methodist Church of Friendship, Maine where a memorial service will be held on Sunday , September 13th, 2015 at 2 p.m. As she wished the family will choose to scatter Pat’s cremains privately at sea at a later date. Hall’s of Waldoboro has care of the arrangements.
