Janice Ellen Robinson

Janice “Red” Leeson Robinson, 83, went to be with her Lord at 9:35am, Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born in Shinnston, May 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Clarence N. and Laura Jane Martin Leeson. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles L. Robinson, whom she married November 2, 1950, one daughter, Cathy Wynn Robinson, Shinnston, two granddaughters, Angie Robinson and Chelsey Robinson and her husband Ritchie Kolb, Columbia, SC, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Robert L. Leeson and his wife Elizabeth, Franklin, WV, one sister, Merritt Saunders and her husband Clarence Jr., Vienna, WV, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Robinson was also preceded in death by one son, Eugene L. Robinson, one brother, John J. Leeson, and her twin sister, Janet Statler. She attended bother Shinnston Grade and High Schools. She enjoyed crocheting and was a member of the North Shinnston Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Thursday, where funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, September 11, with Pastor Gary Layfield officiating.
