Joseph "Marcel" Guy Proulx

PROULX, Marcel - Peacefully at his residence on Sunday August 30, 2015. Marcel Proulx of Peoplecare Tavistock in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Fernande “Fern” (nee Giguère) Proulx for over 60 years. Cherished father of Lucie (John) Bennett of Woodstock, Lise (Don) Sim of Innerkip, Lynda (Dale) Hartley of Woodstock, Rene (Joanne) of Embro, Robert of Tillsonburg and Rita (Dwayne) Schuett of Ingersoll. Dear grandfather of 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and is survived by his many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his nine siblings. He was the last surviving member of his own family. Marcel was a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years and was an employee of Firestone Textiles for nearly thirty years. The family will receive friends at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Thursday September 3, 2015 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9pm. The funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Friday at 11:00 am with Fr. Richard Dales officiating. Cremation to follow.
