Paul D. Kahn, 85, of rural Ossian, died Friday, August 28, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital. Paul was born in Wells County on April 17, 1930 to the late Bill D. and Vadis (Green) Kahn. On December 6, 1951 he married Marilyn L. Scrogham.
Paul worked for Dana Corporation as a leadman, where he retired in 1985 with 30 years and 5 months of service. He served in the Korean War in the US Army. He was a lifelong member of the Circle W. Riders.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn L. Kahn of Ossian; two sons, Gary (Brenda) Kahn of Liberty Center and Larry (Kandie) Kahn of Craigville; a daughter, Paula Omlor of Decatur; two brothers, Bill (Norma) Kahn of Roanoke and Tom (Trolus) Kahn of Craigville; a sister Linda Luginbill of Decatur; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and his two dogs, Cricket and Cutie. He was preceded in death by a son David, 4 sisters, a brother and two great granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2015 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 also at the funeral home. Pastor Anthony Robles. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Ossian and Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Post 43.
Memorials are to Riley Children’s Hospital and Norwell Marching Band.
