Alice F Ehrman

Alice F. Hirschy Ehrman, 81, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Alice was born in Adams County on April 19, 1934 to the late Chancy and Lillian B. (Bohren) Yoder. She married her first husband Bruce D. Hirschy on July 8, 1951; he preceded her in death on May 21, 1998. She then married Hugh Ehrman on December 1, 2005; he preceded her in death on June 20, 2012. Alice was a member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, where she was Sunday School Treasurer for many years, involved in the Pleasant Dale Ladies Aide and enjoyed singing. She retired from C.T.S. in Berne in 1996. Surviving are her daughter, Rosemary J. Love of Indianapolis; three sons, Arnold (Jane) Hirschy of Decatur, Roger (Beth) Hirschy of Winchester and Stacy (Karen) Hirschy of Ft Wayne; two sisters, Janis (Leonard) Balsiger and Darlene (Claren “Clez”) Lehman both of Berne; two step sons, Keith (Joanne) Ehrman of Bluffton and Kevin (Kim) Ehrman of Westminster, CO; three step daughters, Mrs. Garry (Kay) Pearson of Davis, CA, Mrs. Mark (Kendra) Everett and Mrs. Michael (Kristi) Miller both of Decatur; 9 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Murl, James and Kenneth Yoder; three sisters, Violet Nussbaum, Marjorie Ulman and Vera Mattax; and a granddaughter, Joy Marie Hirschy in 1988. Visitation will be from Noon – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home and from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31st at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2015 at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren; Pastor Jay Carter will be officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery. Memorials are to Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren Missions Scholarship Fund.
