Bonita Isaacs Obituary

Bonita Isaacs age 61, wife of Russell Isaacs, died Tuesday August 25, 2015 after her battle with cancer. Bonita was born in Jackson County to Elsie Gadd Baker and the late Amos Baker. As a little girl she attended Big Hill Baptist Church and was baptized, and she currently attended Red Lick Holiness Church with Russell. Bonita was active with Russell in his work shoeing horses, she was also a board member of the Bluegrass Horseshoers’ Association, and was co-owner of the Horse Shoe Bend Grocery at Red Lick, and she enjoyed playing and listening to music. Bonita is survived by her mother Elsie Gadd Baker, her husband Russell Isaacs, her son Brian (Kelly) Isaacs, and her grandchildren: Layne Isaacs, Colton Isaacs, Gavin Isaacs, and Wyatt Greenwell, her brothers: Bruce Baker, Burlin Baker, Harlan Baker, Garvin Baker, Ronald Baker, Richard Baker, Randy Baker, and her sisters: Wanda Tobler, Karlene Bowles, Bella Holt, and Marsha Stidham, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father Amos Baker and an infant brother Anthony Gilbert Baker. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday August 30, 2015 at the Isaacs Family Farm with Bro. Artie Alexander and Bro. Darrell Combs officiating. The family invites you to bring your own chair for services, and in case of bad weather services will be held at the Red Lick Holiness Church. Pallbearers will be Bonita’s brothers and honorary pallbearers will be Joe Isaacs, Marion Rousey, Mason Alexander, James Isaacs, Rusty Riley, Colton Isaacs, Gavin Isaacs, Wyatt Greenwell, Layne Isaacs, Allen Doyle, Earl Isaacs, and Eugene Isaacs. Visitation will be Saturday August 29, 2015 after 5 pm at the Red Lick Holiness Church. Burial will take place in the Isaacs Family Cemetery at Rucker Hollow.
