Joyce E. Tichenor, 68, of Bridgeport, went to be with the Lord at 12:40pm, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born in Lumberport, March 3, 1947, a daughter of the late Robert L McIntyre and the late Mamie C. Davis McIntyre Cooper. Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger Hosaflook and is survived by her second husband, Rusty L. Tichenor, whom she married May 27, 1995, two daughters, Teresa Ann Miller and her husband Brad, Monks Corner, SC, Tammy Moran Cottrill and her husband Jimmy, Shinnston, step-daughter, Lova Yanero and her husband Bobby, Fairmont, four grandchildren, Devin Moran, Destiny Moran and her fiancé Joe Paugh, Jesse Miller, Haley Elizabeth Stealey, two great-grandchildren, Isabella Moran, and Peyitt Paugh, one sister, Betty Smith, Moundsville, her best friend, Nancy Harford, Bridgeport, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Rusty Lee Tichenor and Brian Scott Poling, one sister, Dot Reed, and two brothers, Herald and Jack McIntyre. She was a member of the Order of the Amaranth, Clarksburg, the Order of the Eastern Star, Clarksburg, and the Rebecca’s Lodge, Shinnston. She was also a faithful member of Jewel City Church, Shinnston. Joyce enjoyed volunteering at her church, singing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful caregiver who enjoyed doing things for other people. The family will receive friends at Jewel City Church, 305 Haywood Rd., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Thursday, where funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, with Pastor Robert Shingleton officiating.
