Marguerite Faye Warren

Mrs. Marguerite Faye Salotti Warren, age 75, of Honaker, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday (August 24, 2015) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born December 16, 1939 in Bluefield, Virginia, she was a daughter of Irene Sutherland Salotti Thompson of Honaker and the late Ernest Salotti. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a graduate of Honaker High School and had proudly served her country in the U.S. Army. A member of Finney Baptist Church, she was the past Chairwoman of the Russell County Republican Party and had spearheaded the effort to obtain and refurbish the Finney Caboose. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she had lived her life always ready and willing to help others and was a true example of a selfless giver. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Thompson. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Robert Warren of the home; one daughter, Gerri Johnson of Lebanon; two sons, Mike Warren of Dublin, Ohio and David Warren and wife, Vicki of Bristol, Tennessee; one sister, Phyllis McClelland of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, Ernest Salotti and wife, Patti of Bellingham, Washington; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday at Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon, Virginia. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 AM to go in procession. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #9864 of Lebanon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Hunter Johnson, Eric Warren, Hayden Johnson, Thomas Warren, Jordan Hardy, and Clinton Johnson. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday.
