Martin F. Kollar

<p>Martin F. Kollar III, 72, of Pulaski, PA, passed away the morning of August 24, 2015 at his residence. Born on January 1, 1943 in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late Martin Jr. and Mary Buckovina Kollar. On August 8, 1964, he married his beloved wife, the former Joyce A. Scofinsky, and the two spent over 45 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death on August 24, 2010. </p><p><br></p><p>Martin worked as a millwright for National Castings and also worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital and Villa Maria and Hermitage School Districts. He was a member of St. James the Apostle Church. An avid outdoorsman, Martin enjoyed fishing, hunting, and farming. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved helping others and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. </p><p><br></p><p>Martin is survived by his children, Martin Kollar IV and wife Jackie of Volant, PA, Robert Kollar of Boston, MA, Joseph Kollar and wife Dinia of Pulaski, PA, and Lisa Macklin and husband Jason of New Castle; sisters, Margaret Hermann of Youngstown, OH and Joanne Ohlinger and husband Raymond of Pulaski, PA; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Richard Hermann. </p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home Thursday at 9:15am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. James the Apostle Church, officiated by Father Frank Almade. </p><p><br></p><p>Interment will take place in St. James Cemetery. </p>
