Dorothy Cobaugh Obituary

Dorothy M. Wolford Cobaugh, 81, of Hummelstown, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Harrisburg on February 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Kathryn Hess Wolford. Dorothy retired as a candy packer from the H.B. Reese Candy Company, Hershey. She was a 1954 graduate of Highspire High School. She was a member of Highspire United Methodist Church. Dorothy was a member of the former Senior Center of Hershey, a member of the former VFW Auxiliary Unit 1687, Hummelstown, and a member of the Hummelstown Fire Company. Dorothy enjoyed ceramics and spending time in her flower garden. She is survived by her loving husband, Amos Cobaugh; three sons, Thomas L. Cobaugh of Hummelstown, John J. Cobaugh husband of Tina of Harrisburg, Brian S. Cobaugh of Epsom, New Hampshire; two sisters, Alverna Wilkins of Virginia, and Judy Miller of Highspire; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Rick E. Cobaugh. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at 10 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Willie Caraballo, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery. Friends are invited to the viewings in the funeral home on Monday, August 24, 2015, from 6 to 8 PM and again on Tuesday from 9 AM until time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Highspire United Methodist Church, 170 2nd Street, Highspire, PA 17034.
