Mr. Robert Eugene Gaines, 84, of Coldwater, MS passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. He was born to Affie Lee Embrey and Robert H. Gaines on October 30, 1930 in Coldwater, MS. A member of Palestine Methodist Church in Coldwater, he was a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Gaines is survived by one daughter, Sandra Miles (Brooke) and one son, Randy Gaines (Tracey); six grandchildren, Stephanie Webb, Kelly Childs, Alison Galler, Michael Gaines, Justin Gaines, and Christine Russeau; and five great-grandchildren, Grace Galler, Nicholas Galler, Sam Galler, Jayson Myers, and Caden Russeau. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donnie Marie Gaines and several brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105. A private family burial will be arranged at a later date. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home – Senatobia Chapel has charge of arrangements.
