Daniel Edward "Danny" McCurry, age 49, Erwin, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Flint, Michigan and had lived in Erwin most of his life. Mr. McCurry was a son of Faye McCurry of Erwin and the late Richard Eugene McCurry. He was a construction worker and had been employed by PPM. Mr. McCurry was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Eugene "Chad" McCurry. In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memories two sons: Daniel "Cade" McCurry and Dawson McCurry, both of Erwin; one brother, Ricky Dean McCurry of Erwin; two sisters: Amy Wave Dlouhy and husband, Bobby and Stephanie Ann McCurry, all of Erwin; mother of his children, Angel Hoilman McCurry of Erwin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. Monday, August 24, 2015, from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel and other times at the residence of his sister, Amy Dlouhy 750 Carolina Avenue, Apt. 125-A, Erwin or at the residence of Angel McCurry 3101 Temple Hill Road, Erwin. Reverend Jeff Autrey and Reverend Harold Lewis will officiate at the 7:00 P. M. funeral service. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler. Committal service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday in the Garland Cemetery, Erwin. Those wishing to attend the committal service please meet at the funeral home by 10:30 A. M. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
