Pauline Miller

Pauline R. Miller, 89, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 29, 1926, in Jay County, IN, to the late Daniel M. and Florence (Fruend) Schindler. On November 3, 1945, she married Donald C. Miller; he preceded her in death on March 1, 2001. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, where she was in the Women of St. Mary’s. She was a homemaker and also worked for Decatur Industries for 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose 1311. Pauline is survived by 5 sons, Robert J. (Regina) Miller of Monroe, James D. (Lynn) Miller of Benton, IL, Michael A. Miller and Max A. (Tami) Miller both of Decatur, and Theodore C. (Lori) Miller of Pleasant Mills; 4 sisters, Ladonna Homan of Coldwater, OH, Jeanette Grieshop of Ft. Recovery, OH, Betty Greaf of Waynedale, and Joann Wendel of Portland; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Richard and Jerome Miller, 3 sisters, Margaret Kieser, Ruth Knapke, and Emilda Gerber, and a brother Irvin Schindler. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:20 a.m. at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Father David Voors will be presiding and burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Masses or to St. Joseph Catholic School.
