Fort Edward Sherry R. Gifford, 67, of McCrea St. passed away at home on Monday August 3, 2015. Born in Glens Falls NY, on March 11, 1948, he was the son of the late Sherry and Emmaline (Colvin) Gifford. Sherry graduated from Fort Edward High School and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward. He was employed by the State of New York as a computer operator in Albany NY for fifteen years until his retirement. Sherry enjoyed activities such as BINGO and playing scratch offs. He was also fond of his trips to Lake George, with his nieces and nephews as well as his lunch dates with his sister Maisie and Stewarts with his friend Bob. He was very kind with a big heart as well as being a very generous person. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brother, Thomas Gifford; his sisters, Shirley Clark, Cassie Duket and her husband Claude and Catherine Critelli; his niece, Melody Sorg; and his brother in law, Kenneth Suddard. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Maisie Suddard, of Fort Edward, Diane Morency and her husband Mike, of South Glens Falls; his brother, Joseph Gifford and his wife Tammy, of Fort Edward; his niece, Debbie MacDonald and her husband Darrell, of Fort Edward; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
