Amelia J. “Millie” (Fonsh) Knapp, of Coventry, beloved wife for over 60 years to the late Ronald F. Knapp, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 14, 1926 in New York, NY daughter to the late Joseph and Pauline (Wolfe) Fonsh. Millie loved golfing with Ron as members at Skungamaug Golf Club as well as bowling with friends. She resided the past few years under the loving care of the team at the Mansfield Center for Nursing Rehab. She is survived by her daughters; Cheryl Knapp of Rochester Hills,MI, Pamela Perrett and her husband Donald of Manchester; her son; Ronald F. Knapp II and his wife Elizabeth of West Hartford; her sister; Elizabeth Albee; her grandchildren; Andreana Archambault, Matthew, Karen and Mark Dombrowski, Toni, Michael and Brittney DeLorenzo, David and Elizabeth Knapp; her great-grandchildren; Emma and Amelia Archambault, Mason Dombrowski, Owen Baer and RJ Brooks. Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her first daughter, Paula Knapp and her first husband Richard Clapp, along with her brother Anthony Fonsh. Relatives and friends may join the family for A Mass of Christian Burial at 11am Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at St. Mary Church, 1600 Main Street, Coventry 06238. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Coventry. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to St. Mary Church in Coventry.
