Sandra E. Barnes, age 82 of Ludington went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 29, 2015 at Oakview Medical Care Facility. Sandra was born on July 16, 1933 in Altoona, PA daughter of the late Seibert and Mary (Sinclair) Hetrick. On September 18, 1954 Sandra married James “Randy” Barnes in Toledo, OH. Randy preceded her in death on November 12, 2003. Sandra was a housewife and caretaker for her family throughout the years. Sandra was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was very involved in giving back to the church through many of their organizations. Sandra loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she loved being a caretaker to all of those who were in her life. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, doing puzzles and listening to piano music. Sandra was a wonderful housewife whose door was always open to her friends and family. Whenever anyone would visit they were able to enjoy a cup of coffee from the endless supply that she had. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and the kindness that she showed to everyone. Sandra is survived by her children, Robin Ruemmler of Ludington and Jimmy (Karen) Barnes of Middleville; granddaughters, Nancy Nehm and Kayla Pouliot; great granddaughter, Brooke Nehm; siblings, Jeanette (Lyle) Gunderson and Frank (Carol) Hetrick, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Loretta Kaiser. Funeral services for Sandra E. Barnes will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday August 3, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church in Ludington with Pastor Tim Yankee officiating. The family will receive guests for visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington. Memorial contributions in Sandra’s name may be directed to Oakview Hospitality Room or Calvary Baptist Church.
