Elaine Newman

Elaine A. Newman, 65, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on October 2, 1949, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Helen E. Miller Newman. Elaine is a 1967 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She was of the protestant faith. She was a homemaker. Elaine enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles, spending time with her family, and playing games on her computer. Her greatest joy was caring for her daughter, Ashley. Elaine is survived by her companion of 35yrs, Donald L. Park of Snow Shoe, her sister, Beverly Chapman of Bellefonte, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Marie Park who passed away on October 23, 2014; sister, Marceline Carter, and two brothers, Ron Newman and Bill Newman. Memorial services will be on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11am at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe with Pastor Catherine W. Dittman officiating. Elaine will be laid to rest at the Advent Cemetery in Boggs Township. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations to be made to the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W.
