Charles Wolfe

Mr. Charles Franklin Wolfe, age 85, of Council, Virginia, passed away Saturday (July 25, 2015) at his home. Born August 28, 1929 in Hollis, Oklahoma, he was a son of the late Clifford and Annie Kizer Wolfe. A United States Army veteran, he had served in the Korean Conflict. He had lived in the Council area for the past fourteen years and was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church. He was a retired electrical engineer with Owens Corning Fiberglass in Newark, Ohio and Anderson, South Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his step-son, Glenn Compton and one sister, Verna Jackson. Survivors include his wife, Ilene H. Wolfe of the home; five children, Steven Wolfe and wife, Lori of Tallahassee, Florida, Craig Wolfe and wife, Lori of Marshfield, Wisconsin, Kriss Reppert and husband, Ray of Oxford, Ohio, Lori Harmon and husband, Chuck of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Lisa Myerson and husband, Ben of Orlando, Florida; one step-son, Paul Compton of Council; one brother, Kent Wolfe of Richmond, Virginia; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Carl Burmeier officiating.
