Debra Frans, 56, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at her home in Leavenworth surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 24, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS. Burial will follow in the Nortonville (KS) Cemetery. Family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral services on Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Debra are suggested to help with final expenses. She attended schools in Atchison and was a devoted mother and homemaker for her family. Debra enjoyed listening to country music, karaoke, dancing, Royals baseball, animals, especially cats and eating tacos and pizza. Debra also enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, whom she loved so much. Debra was married to Samuel Hitchens, Jr., they later divorced. Survivors include a son, Rick (Heidi) Hitchens of Atchison; a daughter, Diane (Bob, Jr.) Grippin, of Atchison; her longtime companion, Jack Okimoto; two brothers, Gerald ‘Bub’ Frans and James Roger Frans; a sister, Cathy Frans Valladares; ten grandchildren
