Joe Mac Ledford, age 78, 484 Rock House Road, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015, in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Buladean, NC and had lived most of his life in Jonesborough. Mr. Ledford was a son of the late Fonzer and Edith Honeycutt Ledford. He retired in 2000 as a self employed tool and die maker and had previously been employed by Pan American and Hoover Ball. Mr. Ledford was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, R. Z. Ledford and an infant sister, Leona Ledford. Mr. Ledford leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of fifty-six years Jo-Ann Lewis Ledford; one son, Danny Ledford and wife, Nancy of Lenoir City; two brothers, Charlie Ledford and wife, Pauline of Piney Flats, and George Dewey Ledford and Pat of Buladean, NC; two grandsons, Daniel Ledford of Nashville and Samuel Ledford and wife, Codi of Elizabethton; three great grandchildren, Sydnie, Raygen and Kaden. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Harold Lewis and Reverend Steve Bennett will officiate at the 8:00 P. M. service. Music will be provided by Annette Boreing and Gladys Shelton. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Committal service will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 11:00 A. M. in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. Family, friends, minister and pallbearers are asked to be at the funeral home by 10:30 A. M. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
