Richard B. Ogg, 84, of Decatur, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Adams Woodcrest. Richard was born in Decatur, IN on February 24, 1931 to the late Woodson G. and Laura L. (Gause) Ogg. On December 25, 1950 he married Arlene Rawley; she preceded him in death on March 5, 1999. On April 7, 2000, he married Ruby K. (Combs) McCullough. Richard was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a member of the Adams County Coin Club and American Legion Post #43. He served in the United States Marine Corp and Air Force. He worked as a Clerk/Dispatcher for Conrail for 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Ruby K. Ogg of Decatur; two sons, Michael R. (Jackie) Ogg of Decatur and Rick A. Ogg of California; three daughters, Pamela K. (Dan) Strickler of Decatur, Cindy D. (Rick) Roop of Gravette, AR and Michelle R. (Gary) Ellenberger of Geneva; two step sons, Anthony C. McCullough of Decatur and Randall L. (Dorothy) McCullough of Pleasant Mills; a step daughter, Rita K. Curtis of Ft. Wayne; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step mother, Catherine M. Ogg; sisters, Ella Faye Gibson and Betty Lou Ogg and a brother Max Ogg. Visitation will be on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 also at the Funeral Home. Rev. Whitney West will be officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by American Legion Post #43 Color Guard. Memorials are to First Baptist Church in Decatur.
