James VanPelt

James Phillip VanPelt, 68, of West Union, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born in West Union, December 22, 1946, a son of the late Russell James and Fannie June Garrettson VanPelt. Surviving are three children, Derek L. VanPelt and his wife Stephanie, Shinnston, Donna J. Morgan and her husband Sean, Salem, and James P. VanPelt, II, Salem, four grandchildren, Catelynne and Payton VanPelt, and Alissa and Malik Morgan, one brother, Johnny Lynn VanPelt, and several cousins. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Donna Lee VanPelt. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cars. He was Baptist by faith. The family will receive friends at Jewel City Church, Haywood Rd., Shinnston, from 11am until the time of the memorial service at 1pm, Tuesday, July 14, 2015.
