Floyd Fryer Obituary

Floyd Fryer, 85, of Atkins, went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2015, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born December 29, 1929, in Atkins, son of the late E.P. “Pat” and Linnie Ophelia Porter Fryer. He was a member of Atkins Lion’s Club, United Methodist Mens, American Legion, Atkins Methodist Church and was a United States Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ola Mae Fryer Hornick, Opal Lee Fryer Marsh; twin brother, Loyd Fryer and Bob Fryer. He is survived by sons, Michael (Tammy) Fryer, F. Patrick Fryer both of Blue Springs, Mo, Fred Shaw (Shelley) Fryer of Bentonville; brother, Jim Fryer of Atkins; grandchildren, David and Lucas Fryer, Jeanna Henderson, Emily Battle, Anna Cate Fryer, Matthew Fryer, Andrew Tunnell; great grandchildren, Bryson Fryer, Grant Fryer, Patrick, Joslyn Henderson, Trent Henderson and Olivia Fryer. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 16, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. David Bishop and Rev. David Downum officiating. Burial is at Atkins City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Pallbearers will be Jim Bennett, Bill Hicks, Curtis Brent, Bruce Fryer, Paul Fryer, Robert Fryer. Honorary bearers will be Larry Carter, James Teal and surviving members of the Atkins High School Class of 1948.
