REID, Cedric Forest 1921-2015 Veteran WWII, Farmer, Plumber – Retired It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cedric Reid at Hospice Renfrew on Monday, July 6, 2015, in his 94th year. Son of the late Allan and Rae (Acres) Reid. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Headrick (Walker) (2003) for over 50 years. He will be mourned by his children Murray Reid (Laura Brohart), Joyce McCuaig (Jack), and Allan Headrick (Lynn). Proud grandfather of Ken Headrick (Penny), Darren Headrick (Cathy), John Headrick (Kerri), Shawn McCuaig, Derek McCuaig (Sherrie Evoy), and Michael Reid. Great-grandfather of 12. Predeceased by his sister Lois Judd (late Arthur), and his brother Lawrence (Buddy) Reid (late Beulah). Survived by his aunt Nellie Acres. Cedric was a special uncle to Kevin & Pat Box, Larry and Cindy Reid, Ruth & Bob Hall and their families, who will miss him dearly. Cedric worked many years at the Renfrew Co-op, and after returning to the family farm in Admaston, began a plumbing business and worked hard as a farmer. He will be fondly remembered as an honest, hardworking individual who welcomed many visits with his neighbours in the community, and friends. Resting at McPhail & Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munroe Ave. E., Renfrew on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be conducted in the Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Private inurnment at Admaston Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Renfrew Victoria Hospital and Hospice Renfrew for their kind and compassionate care.
