Cecil Perine Obituary

Cecil Don Perine, 90, of Clarksburg, passed away at 10:30am, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the WV Veteran’s Nursing Facility in Clarksburg. He was born in Doddridge County, June 26, 1925 a son of the late Don Columbus and Ethel Maude Robinson Perine. On November 26, 1955, he married Ruth Joan Fittro Perine who preceded him in death on December 7, 1984. Surviving are four children, Donna June Perine, Bridgeport, Cecil Alan “Al” Perine, Clarksburg, Richard Wayne Perine and his wife Michelle, Clarksburg, Christine Joann Perine, Bridgeport, one brother, Willie Perine and his wife Carol, KY, and several nieces and nephews. Cecil was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clyde Perine and Ernest Perine (infant), and two sisters, Ocal Marie Perine and Mary Dennison. Cecil retired from PPG in Stonewood. He was a Korean Veteran having served with the United States Army. He was a member of the Meuse-Argonne Post #573, VFW, Clarksburg. He loved animals, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a Methodist by faith. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 5-8pm, Thursday where funeral services will be held at 10am, Friday, July 10, with Rev. Johnny Payne officiating. Interment will be in the West Union Masonic Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com.
