Christean Anderson, 87, of Atkins, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Atkins Nursing and Care Center. She was born May 17, 1928, in Pope County, daughter of the late John Kinslow and Lora Brock Whittle. She was a member of Atkins First Baptist Church and retired as a secretary from Lucky Stores in California. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Glen Anderson; son, James Bruce Anderson; and brother, John Kinslow, Jr. She is survived by 4 grandchildren, Christopher Anderson and Glen Anderson, both of Atkins, Shannen Ferreira McKean (David) of Alameda, California, and Dayna Anderson of Antioch, California; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Reigle (Walt), and Leea Anderson; special friend, Glenda Luter (Dwane); and many nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside service and burial is 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 9, at Shiloh Cemetery with Bro. David Bishop and Leon Anderson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Department of Health Hospice, c/o Glenda Luter, 404 N.
