Jennie Lee Johnson, 56, of Cross Junction, VA passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center. She was born on January 10, 1959, in Cumberland, MD; the daughter of the late Russell Harmon and Anna Lee Cooper Wolfe. Jennie was an educator and worked for West Virginia Department of Education. In her free time, she enjoyed painting animal portraits, which many she gave to friends and family, some were exhibited at art shows and she even sold a few. Her favorite hobby was working with Blue Ridge Dog Training. She was a long time member of Redland United Methodist Church but most recently joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Jennie was strong, friendly and all around a very loving person. She married Richard Allen Johnson on October 20, 1983 in Oakland, MD. Along with her husband, Jennie is survived by her sons, Russell Johnson of Staunton and Joshua Johnson of Winchester; her daughter Leanna Johnson of Winchester; one grandson Kwenton Avery Johnson; her brother Johnny Barkley of West Virginia and one sister, Carole Glotfelty of Oakland, MD. A Memorial Service will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 620 Chapel Hill Road, Cross Junction, VA 22625, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Phillip H. Brumback officiating. Flowers may be sent to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church after 9:00 am on Saturday.
