Rita Hodges, 88, of County Road, Ipswich, MA, died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 2, 2015. Born October 20, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Ethel (Hoffman) Pinsky and sister of the late Norman Pinsky, his wife Nicole, and the late Paul Pinsky. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-three years, Peter Hodges, her son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Shelia, Hodges, her daughters, Sarah Nastasi and her husband Richard, Elizabeth McCarthy and her husband Joseph, and grandchildren, Abigail and Erica McCarthy, Frank and Charles Nastasi, Allison and Peter Hodges and Peter's wife Alyssa. Rita loved and was loved by many and will be missed by nieces, Debbie, Leslie, Vickie and Jaquie, her family and her friends. There will be a small family service at Temple Shalom Emeth in Burlington, MA on Friday, July 3rd. A future celebration of Rita's life will be planned for August, in Ipswich, MA. Memorial donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders (https://donate.doctorswithoutborders.org/onetime.cfm) or Care Dimensions (Hospice) of the North Shore (https://give.hns.org/cd-v2-page). Her memory will be for a blessing.
