Millinocket – Janet E. Reeves, 62, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her home on Smith Pond. She was born April 17, 1953 in York, the daughter of Erland and Colleen (Mahar) Coombs. Janet was married to Billy Reeves for 44 years, and for 30 of those years they owned and operated Allagash Gateway Campsite on Chesuncook, near Ripogenus Dam. In recent years, she has worked for the State of Maine as a Child Advocate, until she was diagnosed with cancer. In addition to her husband of Millinocket, Janet is survived by three children, Kari Reeves and Tommy Lee of Manchester, New Hampshire, Kelly Black and her husband Julian of Auburn, NH, and Ryan Reeves and his wife Jenn of Hollysprings, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Aaliyah, Tyler, Ava, Kayl, and Tori; six siblings, Gail Danjor of Riverview, New Brunswick, Barry Coombs of Coventry, Connecticut, Jim Coombs, William Coombs, both of Wells, Jeffy Coombs of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Julie Donnell or Ormand Beach, Florida. She was predeceased by her parents. There will be no services at this time.
