Virginia Lee Murray, age 67, of Orange passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in her home with her loving family beside her. She was born on December 1, 1947 in New Haven to the late George and Virginia Stevens Phillips. She was employed as a Nursing Supervisor at Milford Hospital for 43 years. An active member of the community, she was the 2nd District President and the Unit #196 President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. A devoted and loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband Robert Scott Murray, daughter Dina Doheny and her husband Daniel, granddaughter Rylee Doheny all of Milford, and sister Georgia Langley and her husband Edward of Ogdensburg, NY. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Helen Phillips. Calling hours are Friday, June 26, 2015 from 4 to 7pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held in the Orange Congregational Church, Orange Center Rd., Orange on Saturday, June 27th at 10am. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in West Haven.
