Mr. Skylar Lee Hess, age 20, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (June 19, 2015) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. He was born April 7, 1995 in Richlands, Virginia and had lived most of his life in the Honaker area. He enjoyed the “country boy” way of living, riding dirt bikes and mudding, and spending time with his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wally Steffey. Survivors include his wife, Jasmine Sizemore Hess of the home; one daughter, Lulu Mae Lynn Hess of the home; his mother, Kim Hess and fiancé, Joe Hess of Honaker; his father, Shannon Hess and wife, Tamatha of Lebanon; two brothers, Todd Hess and wife, Kelly and Jaden Deion Hess all of Lebanon; maternal grandmother, Joan Steffey of Honaker; paternal grandparents, Dallas and Linda Hess of Lebanon; step-brother, Andrew Osborne; one niece, Celina Hess; mother-in-law, Melissa Sizemore; father-in-law, Steve Sizemore; brother-in-law, Justin Hess; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Ray Coleman and Rev. Vonley Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Hess Memorial Cemetery on River Mountain, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Todd Hess, Kevin Yates, Cody Hess, Chris Hess, Kenny Howard, Justin “Tank” Reynolds, Windred “Booge” Hess, and Logan Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Shade Ray, Jaden Hess, Shawn Hess, Dalton Hess, Christopher “Jake” Ratliff, Brandon Robinette, Kelly Hess, Samuel “Sam” Helbert, and Ray.
