Brian Timothy Gipe (Tim), 53, of Hummelstown, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 30, 1961 in Harrisburg he was the son of Jane (Bell) Gipe of Middletown and the late William D. Gipe. Tim was a salesman for Murphy’s Home Center, and Gross’s Hardware for many years; he was most recently employed by Pepsi/Jacobson as a forklift operator. He was a 1979 graduate of Dauphin County VoTech. Tim enjoyed woodworking and electronic gadgets, and was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his wife of 27 years, Christine A. (Sanders) Gipe, whom he married on May 28, 1988; his two sons, Joshua Q. Sanders husband of Kami of Middletown and Brian D. Gipe of Hummelstown; his brothers, William Gipe husband of Patricia of Elizabethtown, Ricky Gipe husband of Amy of Harrisburg, and Randy Gipe husband of Denise of Middletown; and his grandchild, Maverick Q. Sanders. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Linda Arvey officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in memory of Tim to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA, 745 West Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033.
