Johnny Duncan

Mr. Johnny Ray Duncan, age 50, of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away Saturday (June 20, 2015) in a Kingsport, Tennessee hospital. Born May 30, 1965 in Bluefield, West Virginia he was a son of Patsy Sluss Nesselrodt and the late John Claymond Duncan. He had lived in the Lebanon area for the past fifteen years and was of the Methodist faith. He had earned his Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Computer Science from Virginia Intermont. He was currently employed as a Senior Test Analyst for CGI and had formerly been employed as an Adjunct Professor at Southwest Virginia Community College. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Sword Duncan of Lebanon; step-daughters, Missy Franklin and husband, Patrick of Limestone, Tennessee and Megan Matney and fiancé, Jared Fuller of Roanoke, Virginia; step-grandchildren, Nicholas Franklin and Jasmine Franklin; his mother and step-father, Patsy and Roger Nesselrodt of Tazewell, Virginia; two sisters, Donna Yingling and husband, Stevie and Teresa Duncan; half-sister, Lynn Brown and husband, Greg; two step-sisters, Kim McClung and husband, Henry and Melissa Eastman and husband, Frank; step-brother, Damon Nesselrodt and companion, Becky Ingram; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. The family would like to extend a special thank you to, Nellie Fields, Kenny Fields, Maxine Kidd, Kelly Kidd, and Ivadene for their love and support during his illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Kenny Fields officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Mark Mitchell, Kevin Fitz, Damon Nesselrodt, Patrick Franklin, Ken Joyce, and Jared Fuller.
