Mr. James Darrell Lambert, age 66, of the Fletchers Ridge section of Vansant, Virginia, passed away Saturday (June 20, 2015). Born November 4, 1948 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Clyde Earl and Emma Fletcher Lambert. A lifelong resident of the area, he had formerly been employed as a truck driver with Bailey Lumber Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hassell Lambert and James Carson Lambert, and two sisters, Madeline Rasnake and Jeanette Owens. Survivors include two sons, Rev. Earl Lee Lambert of Fletchers Ridge and James A. Lambert of Bristol, Virginia; one daughter, Klerisa Nikai Lambert of Bristol, Virginia; grandchildren, Kayla Denise Lambert, Desiree Sky Holcomb, Matthew Dakota Lambert, Grayson Colton Lambert, Jacob Austin Lambert, and Christopher Burchfield; one sister, Janice Owens of Horton Ridge, Virginia; one brother, Harold Lambert of Council, Virginia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Revs. Donald and Wilma Harris and Rev. Odell Stiltner officiating. Interment will follow in the Lambert Cemetery on Fletchers Ridge, Virginia. Nephews and great-nephews will serve as pallbearers.
