James Brian Edwards, age 48 of Ludington passed away on June 18, 2015 at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. James was born on November 24, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of Thomas E. and Diane C. (Miller) Edwards. On November 16, 2008 James married Janaka Bassett in Ludington. He was employed in the maintenance department of Great Lakes Castings for 27 years. James served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharge. He enjoyed building cars and drag racing. James is survived by his wife, Janaka Edwards of Ludington; daughters, Ashley and Mellissa Edwards and Alyssa Kelso all of Ludington; sons, Travis Cox of Ludington and Joshua Lynch of Grand Rapids; parents, Thomas and Diane Edwards of Ludington; grandchildren, Bentley Lynch and Lillian Kelso; sisters, Cheryl (Keith) Goodyear of Redford, Lorie (Tony) Tellie of Scottville, and Lynn (Ernie) Shaughnessy of Custer. Funeral services for James Edwards will be held at 4:30 PM on Monday June 22, 2015 at Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Ludington with Pastor Thomas Boehne officiating. The family will receive guests for visitation from 3:30 PM until the time of service. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 76.
