Dorothy Irene (Murzyn) White, 79, of Tolland, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Alvah White, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 20, 1935 in Hartford, the daughter of the late John Florian and Frances Irene (McNear) Murzyn. She loved nothing better than to be in her garden, to spend time with her family and friends and was very involved with the UConn Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry. A gallery was named for her and her husband as they were instrumental in its development. She is survived by her three daughters, Anita Reeder and her husband Robert of Southborough, MA, Karen White of Claremont, NH and Doreen Conrad and her husband Garland of Coventry; her son, Kenneth White of Tolland; her grandchildren, Renee Bellavance, Katherine Reeder, Stephanie Iodice and her husband Alan, Michael White and Steven White; her great grandchildren, Keira Reynolds, Kingston Reynolds, baby girl Iodice (soon to arrive) and foster great grandchild Kayleigh Brousseau. She is also survived by her treasured brother Arthur and his wife Diane and many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as John Cavanaugh, the beloved husband of her dear friend, the late Patricia Cavanaugh. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kayleigh VanBrocklin. She will be sorely missed by all.
