John Hodge, 71, of Atkins, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at his home. He was born September 3, 1943, in California, son of the late Hiram Edward and Vera Corley Hodge. He is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, Shirley Hodge; 3 sons, John, Ralph, and Scottie; 3 step-sons, David, Donald, and Michael; 2 sisters, Cletha Hodge and Patricia Hodge; 2 brothers, Jim Hodge and Gene Hodge; and numerous grandchildren. Graveside service and burial will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, June 1, at Atkins City Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held beginning at noon prior to services at Lemley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to the John Hodge Funeral Fund, c/o Lemley Funeral Service, P.O.
