Mary Catharine Blomgren passed away on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 at Lakewood Gardens in Downey, California. She was 89 years old. Mary was born December 15th, 1925 in New York City, New York. She was the second child and only daughter of William and Catherine Murphy. Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family. She was known for her generosity, her kind heart, cheerful laughter and warm smile. Mary had many passions. She enjoyed traveling the world, creating new friendships with those she met along her adventures. Her love of music was vast and her wealth of knowledge was admired by those who knew her. Mary was preceded in passing by her husband, Warren Blomgren and two sons Richard and Thomas Blomgren. Mary is survived by her sons, Robert and Gerald Blomgren; her brother Michael Murphy; her grandchildren: Sean, Jason, Christopher and Kevin Blomgren (grandsons) Sheila Pinheiro, Jamie Duerr and Kelly Goepp (granddaughters); and her great-grandchildren: Makenzie, Brooke, Warren, Avery, Kendal, Sophia and Henry.
