Anthony J. Vitullo, 24, of New Castle, passed away the morning of May 21, 2015 at Shadyside Hospital. Born on March 1, 1991 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of James and Doreen Bloise Vitullo.
A 2009 Union Area High School graduate, Anthony belonged to the Union High School Band, golf team, baseball team, and the Junior High Football Team and was voted Homecoming King. He worked in landscaping and was a member of St. Vitus Church. An avid outdoorsman, he belonged to the Mahoning Sportsman Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was a devoted Pittsburgh sports fan and loved to go on vacations and have bonfires with his friends and family. Anthony will always be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be sadly missed by all knew him.
In addition to his parents, Anthony is survived by his brother, Michael Vitullo of New Castle, grandfather, James Bloise, aunt, Brenda Bloise, aunt and uncle, Terry and James Bobosky, cousins, Angela and Amanda Bobosky, and his dog, Brutus. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Theresa Vitullo, and maternal grandmother, Rose Bloise.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday at 9:15am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Reverend Pierre Sodini.
Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
