Annual Collins (AC), Sr. passed away peacefully at home on May 21,2015. He was born to the union of Annual Collins and Edna Mae Foster on April 29,1924 in Caldwell, Texas. AC graduated from E>A> Kemp High School and attended Prairie View A& M University. He was married to his soul mate, Ollie Marie Townsend, for over 60 years. To this union, six children were born. He is predeceased by his parents, his 6-day old baby sister Martha Lee, his beloved wife Ollie, a son, Marcus Collins; and grandson, Curtis Gindratt. AC honorably served his country in the US Army and upon discharge, set forth a vision for his family. After finding better work opportunities in Ohio, he returned to Texas to retrieve his family. He initially worked at Rockwell International, but retired from the US Postal Service after 30 years of service. AC was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns fan. He also loved gardening, bowling, table-tennis, badminton,Spades, Bid whist and most off all, dominos. He could beat anyone playing Dominos well into his 90th year. He was a member of World Harvest since 1986. He leaves to mourn his departure, his surviving children, Annual Collins, Jr., Patricia Collins, Carolyn ( Robert) Murphy, Donnie (Debra) Collins, and Richard Collins; his daughter-in-law Kerrie Collins; his grandchildren, Tau Murphy, Jamila Collins, Rivell Collins, and Zakiya (Donte) Rhodes; great grandchildren Abeni Murphy, Rain Murphy, Lauren Gindratt, Justyn Harper, Truth Collins, Ayoka Murphy and Oliver Rhodes; and a host of cousins, including a special cousin, Willie Mae Pharms of Grand Rapids, MI.
