Dr. Dan Thomas Daniel McMillan Thomas, DVM, 83, died May 19, 2015 peacefully at home in Forest following a brief illness. Visitation is Friday, May 22, from 5–7pm, and Saturday, May 23, from 1-2pm at Forest UMC, with funeral services on Saturday at 2pm at Forest UMC. Dan was born August 20, 1931, in Bissell, MS, to Dan and Irene Thomas. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and his first wife of more than 50 years, Marilakin. Survivors include his wife, Rose, his children Martha and Leonard Smith of Columbus, MS, Linda and Bill Tucker of McComb, MS, Danny and Leigh Thomas of Flowood, MS, and William Thomas of Smyrna, GA, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four stepchildren, six step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, two sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
