Hans Richard Hansen, age 81 of Manistee, died Monday May 18, 2015 at West Shore Medical Center. He was born February 14, 1934 in Manistee the son of the late Martin and Ethel (Ellafsosn) Hansen. He graduated from Onekama High School and served in the U.S. Army from November 2, 1956 until July 2, 1958. Hans was employed in the construction industry and primarily worked in the electrical trade. He was also employed by Burns Security and worked as a guard at Packaging Corporation of America. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with his extended family. He is survived by his brother, Martin (Arlene) Hansen of Onekama, several step-children and step-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Barbara Jach-Madsen. Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
