Mrs. Stella Marie Dotson Musick Rasnake, age 92, of Granite Falls, North Carolina, passed away Saturday (May 16, 2015). Born June 21, 1922 in Cleveland, Virginia, she was the youngest daughter of Charlie B. and Nannie J. Musick Dotson. She had lived in the Cleveland area prior to moving to Granite Falls twenty-five years ago. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Musick, her second husband, Taulbee Rasnake, one sister, Nora Dotson Reed, seven brothers, Clovis, Clarence, Clyde, Henry, Orbra, Dale, and Emmitt Dotson, and one half-sister, Maggie Fields. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include one daughter, Nannie Pearl Musick McGlothlin and husband, Lewis of Granite Falls, North Carolina; granddaughter, Gail McGlothlin Brown and husband, Lonnie; grandson, Lewis Edward McGlothlin, Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Carissa Brown Bowman, Adam Wayne Brown, Sarah Marie Brown, and Ethan Lee Brown. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Dennis Whitt and Rev. Duane Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Musick Cemetery at Weavers Creek, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made Copper Ridge Baptist Church, 409 Copper Road, Cleveland, VA 24225 or Bible Baptist Church, P.O. Box 801, Hudson, NC 28638. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home from 1:00 PM Monday until the funeral hour.
